Grameenphone has launched a new cloud telephony solution for its enterprise customers, called “Grameenphone Audio Conferencing” today. Yasir Azman Deputy CEO and Chief Marketing Officer of Grameenphone launched the solution at GP House in Bashundhara.

The Grameenphone Audio Conferencing supports simultaneous voice conferencing with up to 1000 participants and comes with a host of conferencing features, such as PIN-based secure access, the dedicated virtual number for each enterprise and support for diverse use cases, such as day-to-day business calls, meetings, town-halls, investor briefings and broadcast sessions.  This cloud-based service is hosted at Grameenphone’s own Data Center and offered through a number of channels, such as web portal, iOS/Android mobile apps and Microsoft Outlook plug-ins for easy management of conferences – anytime, anywhere.

The service allows people in different locations (local or overseas) to connect simultaneously through the mobile network to collaborate in a highly secure virtual conference room; no smart-phone or internet connectivity is required other than a basic handset. Globally, this form of communication is widely used in fields such as commerce, development, education, and business, and has proven to be an easy, accessible and cost-effective tool for businesses and workers.

Yasir Azman, Deputy CEO and CMO, Grameenphone said, “Grameenphone aims to become the preferred technology services provider in the country. Delivering collaboration services to leading international and local organizations further reinforces our position as a preferred partner. The introduction of our Audio Conferencing service is also a part of our commitment to provide cutting edge services to our customers.”

Argha Basu, Grameenphone’s Head of Enterprise Business remarked, “Our new Audio Conferencing service will provide productivity boosts and multitude of benefits for our business customers. Users can now expect to conduct their own town-halls, emergency sessions and daily team meetings on-the-go, without having to worry about conferencing devices or participant’s internet connectivity”.
