Feb 20, 2014

Grameenphone brings 5 new tracks from Ayub Bachchu's unreleased album. This was disclosed in a press conference today.

Only Grameenphone subscribers can enjoy these songs by setting Welcome Tunes or downloading Full Tracks. Grameenphone subscribers can download Full Tracks each for BDT 5 only. This service will be active for Grameenphone subscribers from next week.

Apart from the fabled singer himself A.S.M. Rafiq Ullah, Head of VAS & Digital Service and Tahmeed Azizul Huq, Head of External Communications of Grameenphone were present on the occasion.

Ayub Bachchu's last solo album “Bolini Kokhono” was published 5 years back. LRB's album “Juddho” was marketed in 2011. Latest news is, this time Ayub Bachchu is bringing 5 new tracks for his fans. Ayub Bachchu said “I have poured my heart into these songs, each and every track has a touch of life, and I have enjoyed thoroughly working for this album. The tracks turned out to be great after mix and master, rest I leave on my audience to decide.”

This is the first time Ayub Bachhu is using digital technology for his album. He said “The condition of audio CDs is terrifying these days. Controlling piracy is being impossible too. Nowadays listening music over cell phones is getting unbeatable popularity. It has become a habit for almost all of us to listen to music over cell phones. This is the main reason why I have chosen to go with digital technology for my new album.”

Titles of Ayub Bachchu's new tracks are “ Allah ey jane ke kokhon chole jaye”, “Kichhu muhurto”, “Kemon achho nagorik shokal”, “Ami o guitar” and “Baashi khobor”. Ayub Bachchu himself has directed music for all 5 tracks. Lyrics have been written by Niaz Ahmed and Robiul Islam Jibon except for one song which has been written by Ayub Bachchu. The singer said that considering audience reaction for this album an audio CD for these songs would be marketed after 6 months. That album might include some new tracks as well.

Grameenphone Music Platform is a unique medium since all the songs are protected by Digital Right Management (DRM) platform. The DRM platform protects the right of the artists and/or musician over their content & music and Grameenphone is the first company in Bangladesh to have this one-of-a-kind service.
