GP MUSIC CROSSES 100,000 SUBSCRIBER BASE IN 5 DAYS
Within only 5 days of its launch, the all new GP Music mobile app has crossed the 125,000 subscriber mark.
Launched on March 20, the unprecedented success of the digital music app is not surprising. Over 25,000 local songs make GP Music the largest Bangla digital music library in the world.
The paradigm shift of the music industry towards the digital realm has already gained preference over traditional means in the Western world. In the neighboring countries, although the digital shift is still in its infancy, it is growing rapidly. In Bangladesh, the arena was comparatively untouched. GP Music stepping in has made a difference by becoming a pioneer digital music platform focusing primarily on Bangla songs to cater to local music lovers. The app contains exclusive albums and tracks from leading artists and record labels in the music industry. The core philosophy of the app is to support musicians from all spectrums by not only providing them a popular platform, but also by playing a prominent role in curbing music piracy.
Speaking on GP Music, Yasir Azman, CMO of Grameenphone said, “In our aim to become everyone’s partner in their Digital Life, we firmly believe that GP Music will serve as the best platform for all the Music Lovers in Bangladesh.” On another note, Mohammad Muntasir, Head of Digital Services of Grameenphone expressed, “We are overwhelmed with the initial response from our customers and the music industry. We are thrilled to have been able to on-board over 125,000 music lovers in the first week, and this is just the beginning.”
GP Music’s availability on all platforms has bolstered their record breaking five-day subscription base. GP Music app is available for all android and iOS devices and can be found in both Google’s Play Store and Apple’s App Store. The platform can also be accessed through its website: www.gpmusic.co.
