GP selects the winners of its usage-based campaign

Grameenphone Ltd. selected the winners of its usage-based campaign on January 17, 2007 at the Spectra Convention Centre.
This campaign was launched on November 7, 2006 as part of its "10 years, 10 million" celebration. This was an effort by the company to express gratitude to its millions of valued subscribers.
The campaign, which continued from November 7 to November 30, 2006, produced an enormous response from the subscribers. Rubaba Dowla Matin, Head of Marketing and other senior officials of Grameenphone were present on the occasion. Besides, Ataus Samad, Advisor Editor, Amar Desh; Abed Khan, Editor, Shamokal; Sara Zaker, eminent TV and theatre personality; Khaled Masud Pilot, wicketkeeper of the National Cricket Team and Nobel, celebrated model were also present on the occasion as special guests.
The grand prize of the campaign is an apartment in one of the best residential areas of Dhaka. Other attractive prizes include 5 (five) Japanese cars, 10 (ten) Plasma televisions and 100 (one hundred) Handsets with built-in camera.
Eligibility for winning the prizes was determined on a subscriber's airtime usage. Users who spent between Tk.300 and Tk.500 were eligible for winning the handsets, those who spent between Tk.501 and Tk.1000 were eligible for winning the Plasma TVs, and subscribers who spent between Tk.1001 and Tk.3000 were eligible for winning the Japanese cars. Subscribers who spent more than Tk.3000 were eligible for winning the grand prize, an Apartment in Dhaka city. To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, a group of children and the special guests picked the winners randomly.
All the winning subscribers will be notified by Grameenphone in due time to collect their respective prizes.
