Grameenphone and Neustar brings Mobile ESPN to Bangladesh

DHAKA, (BANGLADESH) / STERLING, Va. (USA), March 7, 2007: Grameenphone Ltd., the mobile market leader in Bangladesh, together with Neustar Asia Pacific (NAP), wholly owned subsidiary of NeuStar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR), a provider of essential clearinghouse and directory services to the global communications and Internet industry, brings the world's leading mobile sport information service, Mobile ESPN, to the mobile users in Bangladesh.
Mobile ESPN is the mobile sports content service provided by ESPN STAR Sports, Asia's number one sports broadcaster and content provider. ESPN STAR Sports broadcast the world's premier live sports and leading regional sports events to over 139 million households on ESPN and over 63 million households on STAR Sports.
Grameenphone has secured the Mobile ESPN content licensing right through Neustar Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, a Singapore based subsidiary of Neustar, Inc., to distribute ESPN STAR Sports content to the mobile users of Bangladesh. Under the agreement, Neustar is the appointed provider of Mobile ESPN to Grameenphone, for a full suite of ESPN STAR Sports content and service applications covering major sports such as football, cricket, tennis, golf, rugby etc, and major sports leagues including the English Premier League (EPL), Major League Baseball (MLB) and National Basketball Association (NBA), just to name a few. With Mobile ESPN, sports fans will have the world of sports at their fingertips. The services are delivered through a regional infrastructure platform provided by Neustar.
Neustar Asia Pacific is a key mobile content platform partner to leading content providers such as Mobile ESPN and major operators in Asia.  NAP currently serves mobile content in 7 markets with an addressable base of over 90 million. Grameenphone will be a major addition to NAP's expanding market reach.

The Mobile ESPN service enables Grameenphone sports fans to keep up with their favorite sports teams and major sports events like never before.  Subscribers will be offered an extensive range of SMS services including push based alerts and pull based scores information and breaking news. In addition, fans will be able to buy official Mobile ESPN wallpapers, ringtones and games, all available for the first time in Bangladesh, and only from Grameenphone.
