On 26 December 2016 Grameenphone received a written instruction from the BTRC to block access to a number of websites with reference to Pornography Sites blocking. BTRC asked for the services restriction to start immediately. Access to the websites was subsequently blocked at 23:59 on 26 December 2016. Grameenphone believes in open communication and will continue to seek direction from BTRC on the duration of the restriction.
