What is the activation process of eSIM?

 

  1. Choose your plan
  2. Choose your mobile number
  3. Complete the biometric verification process
  4. Turn on internet connection in your handset
  5. Scan the QR Code found in the SIM kit
  6. Follow the step-by-step process based on your handset

 

 

To convert your traditional SIM card into eSIM you can visit the nearest GP Experience Center with your eSIM supported device and fulfil the regular SIM purchase procedure or you can visit GP Online Shop and convert to eSIM by following steps:

  1. Request for eSIM migration
  2. Complete the biometric verification process
  3. Turn on internet connection in your handset
  4. Scan the QR Code found in the SIM kit
  5. Follow the step-by-step process based on your handset

 

 

Just follow these simple steps to convert back to your physical SIM card:

  1. Request for eSIM migration
  2. Complete the biometric verification process
  3. Turn on internet connection in your handset
  4. Deactivate & delete the eSIM profile from your handset
  5. Follow the step-by-step process based on your handset to use your physical SIM card

 

 

  1. Turn on internet connection in your handset
  2. Deactivate & delete the eSIM profile from your previous handset
  3. Scan the QR code with your new handset
  4. Follow the step-by-step process based on your new handset

 


 

QR Code Scanning Process

 

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap either Cellular or Mobile Data
  3. Add Data Plan
  4. Scan QR code (Ensure phone is connected to mobile data/Wi-Fi while scanning)
  5. Follow step-by-step process

Your mobile plan will be downloaded and activated on your eSIM

 

 

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM card manager
  2. Tap Add mobile plan
  3. Tap Add using QR code
  4. Scan the QR code (Ensure phone is connected to mobile data/Wi-Fi while scanning)
  5. Follow step-by-step process

Your mobile plan will be downloaded and activated on your eSIM

 

 

  1. The QR code is unique and can be used maximum twice in one year. Once scanned, please ensure you complete the process of adding the Carrier
  2. Customer should not select "Delete" option from the eSIM settings as this will permanently delete the eSIM profile
  3. If a profile is deleted, customer needs to rescan the QR code and follow the previous process
  4. For both cases internet connectivity is required
