Grameenphone BCB National Cricket Academy declared

Grameenphone Ltd. announced a partnership with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in setting up of the Grameenphone BCB National Cricket Academy at a press conference on March 13, 2007.
Under the agreement, Grameenphone will provide funds to assist in establishing and operating the Academy programs for five years. Each year an Academy Cup will be organized under the Grameenphone BCB National Cricket Academy banner that will select young cricketers from different age groups and divisions and nurture them under the program for one year.
Grameenphone hopes that this Academy will help future cricketers of the country to achieve international standards and ensure a stream of talented players for our national team.
In his speech, Stein Naevdal, Chief Marketing Officer, Grameenphone, said "Grameenphone is expanding its horizon towards nurturing young talents who will pave the way for excellence in the game for the future. We are extremely proud to be associated with the National Team and now with this new Academy."
Rubaba Dowla Matin, Head of Marketing, Grameenphone, Mahmudur Rahman, CEO, BCB, Aziz Al Kaiser, Chairman, Commercial Committee, BCB, and A.S.M. Faruque, Chairman, Game Development, BCB, among others, were also present at the press conference.
